Benjamin has over 28 years of excellence in fitness training and lifestyle modification. He has a degree in Sports Science from Loughborough University with a background in professional football. His wealth of knowledge and experience extends to working with athletes, companies and one to one clients of all ages, backgrounds and medical histories including people on weight loss medication.

The driving force throughout his career has been the science behind human movement and an overriding passion for making a difference to peoples lives. 

We know that people often struggle with exercise for a number of reasons. It can be difficult to find the time and motivation and it’s not always easy to know where to start…

The 45 minute online class is tailored to all levels of fitness.

You do not need any equipment, just wear comfortable clothes you can move in.

Exercise FAQs

How do I attend the online class?

The classes are held every Wednesday at 7pm. The link to the class will be sent out in the weekly newsletter and we send reminders a few days before the class. It is held over Zoom. It’s the same link every week so you can add this to your calendar if you like.

Does this cost extra money?

No, the exercise classes are free and included in the programme.

If I can’t make the class, can I watch it later?

Yes, all the classes are available to watch afterwards on a private link on our YouTube channel.

Do I have to be a patient to join the class?

While the class is aimed at Slimmr patients, friends and family of patients are more than welcome. You can share the Zoom link with them. The more the merrier!

Do I have to keep my camera on?

While it’s nice if we can all see one another and offer each other encouragement, you don’t have to keep your camera on if you prefer not to. We want you to feel comfortable and relaxed while you’re doing your exercise. Although we record the sessions so people can watch them afterwards, for privacy, participants are not recorded, so no one will see you outside of the class.

Is it compulsory?

No, not at all. We provide this class as a stepping stone to you increasing your fitness and exercise. It’s there to help, but if you already have a fitness routine you are happy with, then you don’t need to attend this class unless you want to.

I have mobility or joint problems, can I still do the class?

Yes absolutely! The exercise class is designed for all levels of fitness and alternative exercises are given for people with restricted mobility or problems with joints. You can take it at your own pace and although we encourage you to push yourself, you can take rests or breaks whenever you need to. It’s a fun and relaxed environment.

Do I need any equipment?

You don’t need anything special. Benjamin might sometimes ask you to use a chair to balance yourself. Some exercises might require small weights but these don’t have to be anything fancy. We suggest using two bottles of water or cans of beans (or something similar). Wear comfortable clothes you can move in.
