Commonly asked questions

Yes. We can support patients who have been prescribed Wegovy, Mounjaro, or Ozempic by another provider and want to continue treatment with Slimmr.

You’ll still need to complete Slimmr’s consultation form so the prescriber can review your medical information safely. As part of that consultation, we’ll ask for details of your previous prescription and when you last took a dose.

To assess whether you can continue your current dose or need to restart at a lower dose, we’ll ask for:

Which medication you’ve been using (Wegovy, Mounjaro, or Ozempic)

Your most recent dose

The date you last took a dose (best estimate is fine if you’re unsure)

How many doses you have left in your current pen (or pens)

When you started your current course of GLP-1 treatment

Your medication preference with Slimmr (continue, switch, or prescriber decides)

Your next dose preference (subject to prescriber review)

Evidence of your most recent prescription (if you want to continue at your current dose or move higher)

Your weight before starting GLP-1 treatment and your current weight

How you’re currently tolerating the medication (side effects)

Often yes — but only if it’s clinically appropriate and we have enough information to prescribe safely.

If you want to continue at your current dose (or move to a higher dose), we’ll usually need evidence of your most recent prescription. If there has been a gap between doses, your prescriber may recommend restarting at a lower dose.

You can tell us your dose preference, and we’ll review it — but it’s not guaranteed.

Your prescriber will consider:

your consultation answers

your current dose and how long you’ve been on treatment

your side effects/tolerability

the time since your last dose

any evidence you’ve provided

Your prescriber will review your preference alongside your consultation answers and may recommend a different plan for safety or to maximise efficacy. We may call you to discuss this.
